The Thread of Events
Event level simulation, tracing and debugging can be performed on an entire system, domain or any arbitrary collection of objects via test scripts written in a control language called PULSAR.
The fully symbolic interactive testing environment is made possible in PULSAR through an enhanced Software Architecture implementation of the Metamodel.
Test scenarios typically begin by populating the database to create instances for the objects. The testing boundary is set by selecting domains and objects that are to take part in the test. The user (or a script) may send events to any object or examine and change an object's instance data at any time. Any event travelling out of the boundary to an external object is logged and also reported to the user if the test is run interactively.
